Paul Bentley, Dir. of Strategy & Workforce &Chair of Innovation Committee, Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust . Paul joined the Trust in February 2011. Since 1998 he has held Board positions with other NHS organisations, as Director of Workforce, Director of Strategy and as a long term interim Chief Executive. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development

Ewan Davis, Director, HANDI.  Ewan has worked in Healthcare Informatics since 1981. He is a Health Informatics Strategist with substantial senior management and consultancy experience with broad knowledge across the health care and health informatics domains including policy, practice, process and informatics. He works predominately at a strategic level.

After a speech of Welcome by Paul Bentley, Director of Strategy & Workforce and Chair of Innovation Committee, Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, Ewan Davis, Director, HANDI will be speaking on “The use of digital tools in Healthcare: separating hype from the challenges” 


Ewan will be followed by Rob Higgins from MHRA speaking about “The regulation of software as a medical device”

The morning’s final presentation will be given by Donna Jarrett, Director of Health Informatics, Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. (Title of presentation to be confirmed).

The afternoon will begin with two presentations from NHS Innovations South East (NISE). First, Dr. Alan Kennedy, will talk about “The Healthy App Roadmap”. He will be followed by Dr Tony Hill, speaking on “Commercialising Healthy Apps in the NHS”.


 Our final speaker will be Scott Hague, Managing Director of Integrated Change Ltd on “From testing to distribution - getting your app out and noticed. The pitfalls and available channels”
